"Limited Edition" Strida on eBay
Thats a pretty poorly put on emblem thing.
And the answer direct from Strida Customer Service (UK) is:
...this is a strida2 used a part of the Emmy 2000 gift basket. nothing is special, other that it received lots of TLC before shipping. ... |
Only thing limited aobut a Strida is its weight capacity, comfortable top speed and range. It is lke the Smart 4/2 of bicycles.
On the other hand, a Smart Car or a Strida is sometimes the best tool for the job :)
But bringing this back to the original subject, does anyone here think ANY bike, folding or otherwise, than it's "normal" resale value, for either 1) Having a number tag on it representing a limited series, or 2) Having belonged to a celebrity, however briefly. Not me. I don't even know who the previous "owner" of this bike is - I don't watch television. I wouldn't mind having another Strida in the shed (even a mk2), - but not for this seller's reserve of $450. My new Srrida 3 was less than that. |
