Another Micro Mini Folder-The 2007 Gekko
Here is yet another Micro Mini folding bike available now for the lower 48 states of the US. This bike's retail cost is said to be $129.00 including shipping/handling and a soft black bag. Here are some links:

Do you think this bike is worth it?

Is there anything micro or mini about this bike? It weighs over 30 pounds and the folded dimensions are 8"x28"x28". The Brompton is smaller and lighter, the Curve is smaller and lighter, the DT Mini is smaller and lighter, even the Mobiky is lighter (and only a tad larger)...and these bikes are regular 16" folders (as opposed to mini or micro folders like the a-bike, carryme, handybike, etc).
Sure the Gekko has 12" wheels and a single speed like a minifolder, but the thing is a monster. What's the sales pitch? "Now you can have the questionable performance of a minifolder with all the size, weight, and inconvenience of a full sized folding bike."
Though I have to admit it's hard to imagine it being worth less than $129.

Even if I had to pay only the shipping costs I wouldn't buy this thing. It is a monster.

For a 2007 model it would have been nice if they took all the above comparison bikes into account.. but then it may not be worth 129$ !
Also it kinda like the zerobike...
A quote from atob " Smart (also Gekko) *
From £250
We're too kind - one star is extremely generous. A good idea, but poorly executed in China, resulting in a cumbersome, heavy, over-priced folder with tiny wheels, and the rolling resistance of damp putty. We wouldn't ride this machine if it was the last bicycle on earth. Seriously, we would walk instead.
We have one road-test of the Gekko - see A to B Back Numbers
For prices and stockists, see UK Price Tag
Absolutely no redeeming features "

The sources for info on this bike are rather light on facts .I would like to know exactly what the gearing is on this bike(I.E how many gear inches)How many psi the tires will take and how wide they are, etc etc.The lack of hard facts immediately puts me off. Plus it really should be able to lick its own eyeball and save me up to 15 percent on my car insurance with fast claim service.
