A Few Pics of my Piccolo

Here's a few pics of my Dahon Piccolo. That's my new (used) Optima Dragon in the background.

My son has been riding it more than I have. He had late-night play practices at school, and it was convenient for him. He'd commute to school in the morning, and then throw it in a neighbor's trunk, to bring it home late at night. I have to teach him to inflate the tires periodically. It's probably apparent that the rear is low.

I really like your Piccolo. It looks like one of the earlier models than mine (it is the last model made in 2006). These little bikes are so flexible and attractive anyone would want to ride one-as I can see your son already has. If you want to see a Piccolo in action (touring Hollywood) see my Flickr link below. It is in the Touring Hollywood set traveling on the red subway line that runs underneath Hollywood.

The Piccolo was my first bicycle. I use that bike up and rode as a commuter doing 15 miles a day. That bike took a beating and I went through three sets of tires before I sold it. The bottom bracket cracked from some crook trying to rip the bike off a fence.

I really used up my Piccolo and the only thing that broke in 4 years of hard use the shifter which I replaced for 15 bucks. Incredible bike.
