Dahon let down!!

I have on order for over 6 months Dahon Matrix ,only to be told last week that there would be NO Dahon Matrix available . We have a personal aplogy from CEO Fishers who are the sole importers . So why is this happening , I suspect that Dahon US are not doing business with UK because of the dollar/sterling exchange rate ,being more profitable to sell in US !! Or is there another reason. So I am left buying my bike through Bike to work scheme and no bike . So if anyone can help please , I need 21 inch Dahon Matrix ,with register B2work scheme shop and an explaination

The US/UK exchange rate makes it MORE favourable to sell in the UK. Dahon are now getting about 40% more dollars for UK sales than for US sales for the same bike.

(In other words we are being Royally over-charged here in Blighty).

Fishers seem incapable of managing supply and demand in a timely manner, especially for spares but I suspect at this time of year also for bikes.

Never mind, I am sure you will get the 08 model in about four months or so and with the new Czech distribution centre, you might even get a half decent spares service.

Good dealers to try include CH White & Son, Electric Bikes Direct etc.

Oh - now there's a surprise. We habitually pay more for just about everything we buy than is paid by people elsewhere. We must be stupid.

to my knowledge there is no 21 inch matrix the largest size is 19 .... and that size is out here in the US as well... who to blame ? Tough to say...... all orders which have been placed at the shows or earlier inthe year have been delivered..... nobody can blame the importer if the dealers do not place orders in time ... at least thats my take on it....

what I dont like is that we all have to wait for 08 product though.... thats a totally different story altogether ....lol
