I converted two friends to the darkside of folders...

Two of my friends took that plunge and put deposits down on two folding bikes. They both are getting Dahon D7s. One found a green 2007 still in stock [she HAD to have that colour] and the other is getting a blue 2008. Seeing me zip around town on my Tikit was a good example of how practical these bikes are and Dahon's low price made it easy for them to take the plunge.
One of my co-workers has a brother who works downtown and has had three bikes stolen. So I finally suggested he get a folder and take the bike in with him to his office. She figures that would be a perfect solution and I see him getting one as a B-day gift from the rest of the family.
Too bad I don't get commission!...

The green d7 is officially called sage and the blue is the vitesse. Just make sure you have those bikes built up by someone who knows what they're doing - or a shop who knows what they're doing.
Everything is misadjusted out of the box.

For 2008 there is a blue D7 in steel. My LBS will be carrying the D7 in blue [denim] and brick colours. My LBS is pretty switched on, but I'll go over the bikes for them as well just to be sure.

The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be...unnatural.

I would think cars are more of the dark side.
But who hasn't been there?

I have personally converted four of my friends over to the dark side. One has a Curve, another has a dark blue 2006 Speed D7, the third has a light blue-grey 2007 Speed D7 and my proudest padawan bought an MU-C9, a Japanese domestic model. The Force is strong with that one.

Just two questions:
How many souls do you need to capture to achieve immortality?
Does my wife count?

Imo adding a Brooks saddle to your folder and converting others to the joys (evils) of Brooks gives you extra force points. After all could you imagine Emperor Palpatine, Vader or Obi Wan riding anything else?

The damage is done - two of my friends are now proud Dahon D7 owners. Long live the fold...

I have a older Dahon Stowaway I picked up on Craigslist for $15.00 . I am a truck driver and it works good in this application. This is my first trip with it and I rode about 10 miles in L.A. last week. When I get home the Brooks saddle is going on, the stock seat is only good for about 2 miles IMO.
Are the newer Dahon's or Downtubes a improvement on the Stowaway? Last year I hauled my full size bikes and am spoiled but the folder is sure nice in small spaces.
