The K folding bike has a rather new style?
Maybe it is just me not paying attention but when I saw that it folded like a K
then that looked like a rather recent style of folding to me. http://www.chinapages.com/sampleroom...20Bicycle.html http://img.alibaba.com/photo/2030063...g_bicycles.jpg http://img.alibaba.com/photo/2030063...g_bicycles.jpg But is it really a folding bike. I guess it is a take apart and make portable variety bike? Could you see how they hold the front wheel together with rear wheel when folded? Do they have a strong magnet there? They forgot to mention how small it is when folded. They come in three different wheel sizes. 8", 10", and 12". This one seems to be 12". Being made of Alu it weight about 10kg |
Thanks for posting this.
I'd like to try this bike. |
I wonder if this link is helpful. I wish they had given us more details than this.

There are a lot of people who make their own Recumbent bikes.
Wouldn't this design "K" type of folder lend itself to be home made too? |

What would you put on that rack? A backpack for hobbits?
I admit... it's different and I'd give it a try just for fun. |
I finally see how it is folded now.
It is a hinge apart and hook on bike. Strida is half that way too. You hinge off the crank boom and you hook on using the plastic ring or the magnet that click the wheels together. On the GHbike "K" style model you hinge off the steering tube and then you hook it on at the rear wheel tube at some 50mm up from the hub. You see on the front wheel the hook and on rear wheel the other part that make up the hinge. Sorry bad terminology. so suppose each hub are 5 inch wide then the whole package will be at least 10 inches thick when folded. That is ok with me. All being made of Alu it doesn't weight so much? Should be easy to role it beside when entering Train or Bus. Having a small footprint helps in crowded transportation. So now we only have to find somebody who have access to one K-bike and persuade them to write a detailed review on how it handle itself and we would love a youtube on how it folds It should take a bit more time to hinges off and hook together again compared to a fast folder like BF Tikit? I link to the picture from Hangzhou Guanhao Bicycle Industrial Co., Ltd. http://img.alibaba.com/photo/202276858/k_bike.jpg |
