Is that kick -back hub enough for the hills of San Francisco?

I have a buddy who has a spare one I am trying to bribe him something for it...

Depends on the engine :thumb:.. the Duomatics have a range of 136% .. so you would gear your low range for the hill you would least want to walk up and then your top gear would be 136% more..

I don't live in the city of SF. I have the gearing at 48/68 gear inches. Good for the mellow around town rides I do with it. When I do big hilly rides, I choose another arrow from the quiver.

I hope you can talk your buddy out of that hub. I love the simplicity and elegance. It's built like a tank, too.

I found an old wicker basket that matched up very nicely, and functions for those trips to the grocery store.

I ride my Orbea to the store but I take some pretty nice roads to get there. :D

Sorry, no trade. I like to ride in style, even if it's to the market. :p

And, by the way, how come you didn't offer to trade when my Moulton looked like this -

Because at that state it was only marginally better than the Mu ;-)
