In a bind for 24" wheelset for Airnimal
Okay, the bind I'm in runs as follows:
I have an Airnimal Chameleon that I'm about to bring to Europe with me. The doofus I bought it from alleges the 24" wheelset was sent just after the frame (which HAS arrived) but that was 3 weeks ago.
So I'm without a wheelset. Assuming it doesn't arrive on time, I have several options, including buying a new 24" wheelset. (Wife understandably vetoed that, as I've got far too many bikes and bike projects.)
I can also pillage a kid's Norco bike to get the 24" wheelset.
But will it fit? (I can't measure it myself; it's in another city.)
The Airnimal has a rear dropout of 130mm, with a front fork dropout of 100mm. Norco "24 wheelsets are mountain wheelset, I think.
What are mountain wheelsets? 135mm in the back and ??!?!? in the front?
Anyone able to pitch in with an opinion?

I won't spring for the $340 Dahon bike, as for that money or thereabouts I could have a road wheelset (24") made for me locally.
The others are interesting... I'll email the person with the wheelset now. Cheers.
Another problem: most kids bikes are 6 or 7 (or perhaps 8) speed, meaning I'd had to get a new freehub mounted.
BUT... will all 24" rear hubs accept a 10 speed freehub? This is complicated, no?

I've got a set of Airnimal 32h 520mm wheels that came off of my Titanium Chameleon pictured.. I can also supply a new set of Velocity Uriels as pictured... If you are still trying to go light, the Uriels are a nice choice.
