I use a large Carlton. Currently, I think, it is called AirTec and its longest side is 31"/78cm long. That case was used by Bike Friday before the Samsonite. The advantage of Carlton is that, unlike Samsonite, it does not cross into the oversize category for most airlines. I squeezed the NWT together with trailer gear into the Carlton w/o problems, but had to deflate tires. The specific Carlton is quite popular in Germany.

See https://www.bikefriday.com/newtravelsystem
"The new TravelCase interior dimensions are approximately 29.5 x 20.3 x 10 inches (75 x 51.6 x 25.4 cm). With outside dimensions of approximately 31.5 x 23 x 11 inches (80 x 58.4 x 28 cm), it may be a wee bit over some airlines' published no-surcharge size (depending on how you measure it), neither we at Bike Friday nor the nice folks at Samsonite have heard of any oversize luggage fees being assessed. Check with your airline to be sure if you're concerned. "
The interior dimensions appear large enough to accommodate a Downtube Mini. Can anyone confirm this? I have a Bike Friday Lama but I hate putting the thing together and taking it apart to travel. I have the Sam. Oyster suitcase.

Hi, I have never tried to pack a front or rear rack in the Oyster, We used the trailer attachment for the suitcase and that packed well.
