I'll be in NYC this weekend - sans Xootr unfortunately. If I see a Xootr w/ two boys in a Burley, I'll wave.

Looks like the Xootr and I will be in either Nyack or Syracuse while you're here, depending on who calls me or not in the next couple of hours. What's the NYC trip for?

10th wedding anniversary, wine, and good friends...not necessarily in that order...

Enjoy your escape from the City. I promise I won't break it in your absence.

Happy anniversary! My trip got delayed--maybe next week.

In the meantime, I did another ride last night with the H-Bar (the Time's Up Central Park Moonlight Ride), and then this morning I put the Dimension Trekking Bar back on.

That finishes the major things I wanted. There are less important things to tinker with (as always): Grip King pedals suck in rain, I need a more horizontal stem, the Tout Terrain Sherpack might work better for me than the Crossrack and Arkel Bug...but the bike's basically done.

Congrats!

My boys are busy watching BRIGADOON, so I had some time to dink around in Photoshop.

Between that sentence and this one, I acquired a three-year-old on my lap, and he wants to see more happy faces.

The one with the club was his special request.

Friday @ Noon I walked up the stairs from Penn Station to 7th Ave into the sun and chaos and wanted to pop open the Xootr and hit the streets. Unfortunately, it wouldn't fit in my bag so I had to leave it in Michigan. After a few blocks in the cab, watching our cabbie almost squish and/or decapitate a few erstwhile bikers, I thought that it probably wasn't such a bad thing that I couldn't bring my bike - those streets are a little more ferocious than I'm use to...someday soon.

Rest assured all else was well. Veritas was killer. Good wine was poured all over town. Midtown was as silly as ever. And Brooklyn remains one of the most beautiful things on earth. No better time of year to enjoy NYC. Thanks for your hospitality. We'll be back soon.

Let us know when you're here. Any excuse for a group night ride...
