MuP8 rides again! Photos
Big change here is that the Mu P8 has black rims. Got the Kinetix hub with dynamo in silver so I stole the Mu P8 back wheel to put on my Speed P8 to match.
So consequently I took the black rims left over and put on the Mu P8. I like it.
Still has a bent revolve stem but a replacement is on the way. (Thanks Thor).
Despise the ridiculous lesson I learned by putting the cam in upside down in the hinge area and thinking the bike was a write off I gained a LOT of valuable bike knowledge on this build. I completely had the bike down 100% when I realized I was screwed up and not the hinge.
So I put it all back together again with a torque wrench and managed to install and adjust the rear derailleur which is something I'd never done before and it was WAY easier than I thought. All new cables as well.
She rides again.

How's the stem bent? I bought a Helios from a guy once who thought something in the steering was bent. Turned out it was simpy the stem not properly aligned. I loosened the pinch bolt at the bottom, turned it a bit and it was perfect.

It is without question bent. The whole stem is bent but most noticeably is that the hinge on top isn't level.
Totally unacceptable. When I get the new one I'll take the bent one out and take a picture.

I've got a weird personality where I get tired of stuff quick. Having a bike for every day of the week keeps me happy.
More than anything I'll look at a bike and think, "I haven't ridden this one in a while" and I get on it and ride.
In the great scheme of things it keeps me in the saddle, keeps me active, and keeps me happy.
I was once a 300 lb'er who comes in at 190 or so now. I do whatever it takes to not become that 300 lb guy again.

There is a number of my work mates that live within 2 kms of my workplace, and how do they get to work?? THEY DRIVE THEIR CARS, of course.

I once knew a gal who worked at a hotel I used to frequent for business trips all the time. She lived on an adjacent property to the hotel and she drove to work. I'm not kidding when I say it took her as long to get in, start, drive, get out as it would have to walk. Literally one parking lot away.

stem is bent on the upper part or lower part? lower part is supposed to be bent forward to allow proper steering and reach.

The revolve stem is bent. Not the bottom part. The removable stem. It's got a distinct U curve to it and the hinge which should hold the handlebar flat leans to the left when in the cockpit. It's down at least 1/2".
It's hosed. I don't think it will fall off or crack out but it's bent and not right.
