I used to skin a significant proportion of the Embankment Peloton on my unmodified R20, but that's because I'm a straight out monster, and they're not a serious racing crew, though so many of them dress as though they are.

Make sure you talk to Rob English at Bike Friday. He'll set you straight as to the "limitations" when using a small wheeled bike.
http://rob.bikerevuk.com/mybikes/mybikes.html ;) Yes, Rob was one of the few rare ones I was thinking about, but then again that quality of rider would excell on almost any bike. |
Just back from the Sat morn hammerfest, but this time I used my roadie, and even though my breakfast still came up, it was nice to be back up the front and attacking on the hills.
So until I get a BF PRP, Moulton or Swift, the R20 is relegated to: Commuting, pootling and touring.... "Odd's fish, my dear, the man's a poet and he doesn't know it". Can anyone name the movie and who said the quote? |

To be perfectly honest, give me a SWB for commuting, pootling, fun rides and touring, but not for my fast rides.....unless anyone has some spare EPO to give away. Aww F*** it. You guys win. (obvious since they're taking a pic of me finishing the ascent :) ) http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3065/...956cba.jpg?v=0 I have Big Man on a Small Bike Syndrome. I contacted the Australian BF agent in Melbourne about prices....but NO reply. Again I say...if I had a BF or a Moulton or Swift, then I too could keep up, but not on my heavy R20 :( |
