Even if it's in mint condition, I wouldn't pay $100 for it. Those things are everywhere.

I think we're out of bicycle territory and into collector territory.
Near as I can tell, the difference is mostly an additional zero before the decimal point.

I haven't seen a Frenchman fold like that since the collaboration.
But really, $600? That's absurd.

This is what happens when the un-informed think just because it's old and it folds it's collectable.

I got a classic Dutch Gazelle with original 3 speed Sturmey Archer gears in lovely condition on ebay.co.uk for £63 (around $120) last week!
Madness! And I thought you could dupe an Aussie fairly easily

Some fool bid it to $610. Why not just buy a new folder for that price???

I think anyone who wanted a new folder wouldn't have wanted that one in the first place. As a vintage bike man myself, I fully appreciate why people will pay big money for great bikes (and they usually look dead cheap still compared to their modern equivalents), but why anyone would spring that sort of money for this is beyond me. It's like the huge prices you can command for a junk bike book 10 speed if you put a fixed gear rear wheel on it now.
