My irascibility has nothing to do with my interest in folding bikes - I am like that because of a personality disorder. I have 'Angry Man Syndrome'. You should know that I am an unpleasant little jerk.

I would have been very happy to have the store manager's offer of an approved place to stow my bike while shopping. Most of the time in a store it would be best to just leave the bike somewhere near the doors. That way there's no question of what to do the next time and you won't have to lift the bike into and out of the shopping cart.

Sometimes I don't do the shopping on my R20, but on our tandem with the BoB trailer attached....it takes a hell of a lot of dismantling to fit that outfit into a shopping trolley...and the stares I get from nosey customers......

As far as I know, it's English blood all the way, if you count Norman blood as British.....but to redeem myself in your "Irish eyes", my wife, like you, has leprechaun ancestors and she has alluring GREEN eyes

Now that's funny. Of course this leads to the fact some of them will go the next step and pretend they have printed skirts when they really have see-through ones on. This will have the Eva Longoria 'Hello Boys' Billboard impact. This time loads of Japanese men will be crashing their folding bikes around Tokyo.

When people see a bike, they will automatically try and find a reason to hate you. I'm sure I don't need to explain this to anyone here

I had a funny experience at my bank. I rode up to a drive-up window to make a quick deposit.
They told me I could not be served here since I was not in a vehicle.
"I am in a street legal vehicle"
They told me no dice, but that I could bring my bike into the lobby and roll it right up to the tellers, so it worked out fine.

At best (if you have a really wacky looking folder) they might actually believe you. At worst they appease you because they think you're a ********. Although people hate bicycles, they're generally pretty accommodating to ******** folks (especially businesses).

Tried that trick at McDs, ordered what we wanted and when we rode through to pay, the girl said they weren't allowed to serve us then told us our order was processed and we could get it at the front counter...that my friends is Corporate Discrimination against cyclists.
