Couldn't the ThudBuster be adapted to function as a front suspension fork for recumbents and road-bikes?

I think that's a 'suck-it-and-see' thing. Got a spare one, a hacksaw and a wrench lying around to put your theory into action?

Look'ee what I found at www.german-a.com under "Federgabeln". I think this qualifies as a Proof-of-Concept. Dispense with the heavy-duty shock/spring and use instead the CaneCreek elastomers ... just enough to give the wrists a little TLC and eliminate the road buzz.

I actually thought a lot about that and still do. For a s-typ brompton (angle of steering stem leaning to the front - hence larger "toptube") the steve perry stem-suspension-mod will not work. I wish I had a garage with tools to try.

That garage would have to resemble a small machine and welding shop. I worked in such a place part-time when I was a teenager (sheet metal equipment, too). Definitely very handy to learn those skills and have access to all that equipment.
