Stolen Rear Wheel from D7

I never thought this would happen to me. So I lock my dahoh speed d7 to a tree with a cable lock near the gym. When I am done working out in about 2 hours I find my bike lying on the ground, still locked to a tree, and the rear wheel is missing. I live in Johns Creek, GA, where you won't see bikes very often, especially folding ones. That's my only form of commute and I just got new big apple tires and now I am gonna have to walk everywhere.

The d7 has a bolt on rear wheel, not a QR - why would anyone bother to steal it? Must be some other D7 owner out there with a bent rim. :-( sorry for yoru loss.

D7 wheels are bolted on unless you changed to quick release, that will make it easy to steal the wheel with the big apple. Sorry to read about that.

Too bad about your loss but at least your whole Dahon wasn't stolen. My Boardwalk was stolen Completely Jan 19 from our Local Home depot Store, cabled to just outside the main entrance, not more then 10 feet away from a Cashier's checkout aisle. No more Cable Locks for me.

There is not shortage of cable cutters in Home Depot stores.

Sorry for your loss.

I don't think they really needed the wheel, they just wanted to mess with my bike.

If they just wanted to mess with your bike it would have been a lot quicker and easier cut the tires and the cables, no?

Can't you take the bike in to the gym with you?

It's too much hassle if you really think about it and people already look at me like I am some kind of idiot with a clown bike.
