Touch Up paint for a R20
Does anyone have a source or suggestion for paint touch up for a R20, mine is the dark green color.

I have suggestions for locating/applying the paint onto the bike. I have done this countless times on my own folders. Please see my Maintenance section on my own World Of Folding Bicycles series for more detail:

Best bet is to swallow male pride and go down to the nail-varnish booth at your local department store. You can usually find a pot that's near the colour you need; it comes with it's own brush and drys quick too.

+1 on the nail polish, it does work very well and you have a good selection at the local beauty supply shop (not that I go there, my wife does). Pepboys also carries a selection of car touch up paint that comes in little bottles, you might find a match there too.

I thought of that, but I can't take the bike into the store. I was only asking for suggestions, so I would not to go throght the hassle of buying nail polish only to find it's not the right color.
My bike only has a few scratches, nothing to bad, but with my OCD it's the first thing I notice. |
I would not take my own folders into a beauty/department store's make-up section for nail polish either-much as I like my bikes. The following places usually allow a folder into the store: local model train store (a hobby store, crafts store, auto paint store, large discount center like Target or Walmart (I would place the bike into a shopping cart/trolley first-then roll the bike inside. I do take the bike in question for a perfect/close-as-possible match for best results. I prefer paint over nail polish as I want to match not only the color of the bike, but the type of coloring product (in this case, paint). I would not do my own nails with paint-but the right type of coloring product for human nails!

Give nail polish a try, you might be surprised. I bet that it is much cheaper too. Even the cheap ones at a dollar store work.

Went to Wal Mart this morning and bought several different shapes of polish, time will tell if any is a match. When I find the closes match I will let everyone know, that way the next time someone asked they will have a good idea as to what shape to buy. That also will depend on the color fade of their R20.

Cool! The important thing is to touch it up right away, to prevent rusting.
