I hate Craigslist!
I was winding down my day a couple of weeks ago. Had a few minutes before beddy-bye and decided to browse Craigslist. Not shopping for anything, mind you, just browsing. Just killing a few minutes before I lay me head down to rest for the night.
So, my drowsy eyes catch a headline - Brompton folding bike. The eyes grow wider. It was a black 2007 M model. The ad said 3 speeds. Picture showed it was the L configuration. Va va va Voom. Then, the price -
. About 1/2 of what I would expect to pay! 
Game, set and match. It was over that quick. N+1 at work again.
Knowing I had to act fast, I contacted the seller and arranged to see it early the next day. Good thing, too, as he said there were 6 other interested parties. When I saw the bike, it turned out to be the M6L. Six speeds, purchased from Foldabikes here in Palo Alto. I paid him the price and scooted out of town before he could change his mind. So, now I am an owner of this black beauty.
I know I didn't need another folder, but what is a mere mortal to do when faced with such overwhelming temptation?!
So, the Brompton acquistion obsoleted my Merc. So, I found a good home for it with another Forum member who shall remain nameless until he/she decides to unveil it. The funds from the Merc sale went towards upgrading my Tikit. Can you tell what it is?
No? Look closer...
Now, I have 28"-120" gearing. Sweeeet!

Bruce has an Airnimal and a Reach at his shop, I was admiring them a lot .... The heel-shifting is great! Easy, responsive. It's my first Schlumpf, I like it a lot.
No, it came with the standard B saddle.

I am quite pleased with my current collection. Currently, I have:
- Hyperfold Tikit with Schlumpf drive;
- Brompton M6L - the 2 speed rear derailleur is kinda neat;
- Strida 5- no mods
- Moulton TSR 30 - no mods, except that I'm not happy with the Campy Record drivetrain;
- Moulton MK3 vintage restoration - soon to have the original Duomatic hub
;
- Dahon SmoothHound - with Capreo and drop bars - my training roadie;
- Downtube Mini - my "beater" bike;
- Abio Verdion with 4 speed belt drive, internal gear - test riding this one;
I quite like the quality and diversity of this collection. Yeah, there are other temptations out there, but I think I'll sit back and enjoy this stable for a while.

What don't you like about it? Mrs Yangmusa's TSR also has the Record drivetrain. I find it's a pain to adjust, but she seems to like riding it. It doesn't seem to index very well, requiring multiple clicks to shift up. I even got a reputable store to take a look, but it didn't really improve it beyond my amateur wrenching.
