Road hubs on my swift?
Greetings all,
It's been a while since my last post...
It's time to lose a bike, for a number of reasons that need not be mentioned here. It's a tossup between my road bike and the Swift. I'm leaning towards keeping the Swift, but I'm wondering if I'd be able to use my lovely hope mono hubs on it. In particular, will the rear (130mm) fit ? It's a xootr swift (about a year old). My understanding is that the spacing at the rear drop-outs is 132.5mm to allow either 130mm or 135mm to be fit. I'm just wondering how practical this is.
If they would fit, any recommendations on quality 406 rims which are available in the UK?
Many thanks.

I use a 130mm road hub on the back, and my Swift's dropout is 135mm. I don't know why mine isn't 132.5mm, I think they changed to 135mm at least for a period.
I use a 1.5mm spacer washer on each side to reduce the amount of slack and it works well.
For rims, I usually look at Velocity, Alex and Sun Ringle. The latter is available from Chainreactioncycles in the UK.
