Strida Kickstand
 

I'm looking for information about a Strida Kickstand. They're supposed to attach to the bottom bracket, which might be perfect for my project. They're variously described as "including all hardware", but I haven't been able to find any info about exactly how it attaches to the BB.

Does anybody have one? Could you describe how it's attached, or post pics of the mounting?

I have one and it's nothing like the one in these pics!
What's more, since I fitted Big Apples my Strida 5 is now higher off the ground, so the stand is too short! :p

How are you liking the big apples Chop? Also, are there any problems in fitting them - mud guard clearance and such like?

The Big Apples are great! Easy to fit and on my Strida 5, apart from the occasional squeak (usually when it's wet) they are a very nice ride.
Slightly larger overall diameter so therefore you are effectively gearing the bike up a bit.
As they are also a little wider, it takes a bit more effort to magnet the wheels together.
All in all, definitely recommend them! :thumb:

I have one. The mount is just a longer bolt and curved metal plate in place of the original bolt in the bottom bracket. Works fine.

Thanks for that Chop. I'd be happy to have the bike geared up a tad. I still feel embarrassed to be spinning my legs like a cartoon character and travelling at ten or eleven miles an hour. I just wanted to know if I could fit B Apples and still keep the mud guards. We get two inches of rain a month on average throughout the year so I refuse to ride without them. Having a crappy strip up the middle of my arse and back is not a great look in my opinion.
