I was riding my BF Crusoe along the bike path. I was wearing clipless but at the time was not clipped in (I have combo SPD/platform pedals). After riding through a puddle, the pedals were slick (now here's me being dumb and not clipping in). Then along came a rough section of trail with tree root berms. Well, the jarring of 3-4 berms knocked my feet off the pedals. I was able to catch myself as I slid off the seat; squat down and literally ski along with the bike, my spd shoes gliding along the ground as I applied the brakes to eventually stop. I skied along with the bike for about 2-3 seconds I'd guess. Pretty crazy and kind of fun, but boy am I glad I had the frame clearance to squat down and ski along with the bike rather than going OTB or otherwise. The two people at a nearby bus kiosk had eyes like saucers watching me get this runaway stagecoach under control

my ergonomic confusion with a folder occured in the first few months I had it. Similar pedals as well. Between the higher bb and seat height I started to hop off by bringing my leg in front of the seat instead over the back as I'd do with a regular bike. So I'm riding to the street exit of the grocery store parking lot but for some reason I'm on the left side, mistake number one. The cars on the street who are about to enter slow down because I'm obviously in their way. So I'm getting close to a track stand as I glance to the right and behind me so I don't run into any cars exiting the parking lot so that I can get out of the way of the entering cars. In that split second I was still unfamiliar with how quick it turns with bar movement and I get a momentary indecision how I'm going to dismount and I fall right over like the old guy in Laugh-In, except I pull off a pretty clean roll and stand up. The cars look at me like I'm an idiot, a guy in the gas station across the street yells out "7 points!"...and I get back to the bike and slink off. It's the lack of top tube that really makes one look like a doofus expecting to lean the bike to one side and your leg will catch it, and it doesn't falling under your feet.
