Questions to the Dahon MU owners
hi,
i got a 52T crank lying around and wanted to put this on my dahon mu xl. my mu has the 8 speed IGH and wanted to ask if any MU owners changed their cranks from 46 to a bigger one ? is this at all possible and what benefit will i get from from doing this upgrade (if you can call this an upgrade) ? any other upgrades or changes you've done on your MU ? appreciate it.
TIA,
vic

The main thing a larger crank does is effectively raise all of your gears. That's why it has been one of the possible changes KitN and I have explored for our Tokyos. Unfortunately, a larger crank doesn't have nearly the impact of smaller cogs on the rear. Do some trials on Sheldon Brown's gear calculator, if you want some figures.
