It's the China Domestic model and that Dove tag looks a bit weird? and agree that 499 is steep(believe it is the older model, not BYA661)

No it isn't, check out the price and domestic delivery charge here: http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=...id=22875556333
Then add your own preferred taobao forwarder fee + international delivery. It'll work out to quite a lot below 499.

BTW There seem to be 2 Dove models currently available:
- BYA412 with 14" wheels
- BYA661 with 16" wheels

Hello. I'm spanish and I have one Dahon Dove. My review is in this forum: http://www.bicivitas.com/Thread-Mi-D...ve-BYA412-y-yo
Sorry, I don't speak english. I have found this thread searching about the dove.

Do you need some information about the bike?

Hi neruca,

Yes I'd like to know the measurement in centimeters:
- wheelbase (front axle to rear axle) distance.
- if the saddle is at maximum height (seatpost at minimum insertion line), what is the distance between center of bottom bracket and top of saddle?

I'm glad you enjoyed the bike, I'm looking to get one because it looks so lightweight.

-80 cm aprox
-66 cm aprox

As I have to take measurements of the bike to add to the review, tonight I'll post some pictures with all the most important measures in cm, ok?

Thanks!

I must say 66cm sounds quite short... I'm 173cm tall and normally I set the top of the saddle at 69cm from the BB.

i'm 183cm and ride a dahon dove with no problem. although, a 600mm seatpost would be more optimal.

Do you mean the dove doesn't come with the standard dahon 580mm seatpost? Btw yours is a BYA412, correct?

Hi, looking for the overall between portability (folded size - weight) and tire size (usability) I think that dahon jifo or dove would be the best balance.

however, specs I get for the actual dove differ from what has been discussed in the thread,

DAHON Dove Uno - DAHON
Folded Size : 65 x 34 x 84cm (25.6 x 13.4 x 33.1)

and the question remains, where can I get the bike?

Hey,i just made wheel upgrade in one of these babies and swap 249 14" to 305 16" with caliper road brakes.
The tyres are a real problem in these conversion, cause the space between frame and wheel will be very tight.
So i manage to fit kenda Ksmart 32mm or 1.3 on the frame.
This is the maximun, othewise will hit the frame.

tucked in racing postion

I seem to remember tucking in like the race photo on my Dawoo shuttle.
Also vaguely remember steering with my forarms to increase cockpit space and get lower profile!
