Pedal problems
I'm looking for pedals for my Airnimal Joey and perhaps my Brompton too. I would like to have platform pedals, foldable or easy to remove.
The original Brompton folding pedal is a good one, but it's not a beauty in my eyes. I give a lot of force on the pedals (hills) and therefore I look for reliable pedals. Maybe someone here has experience with pedals and would like to share it with me and of course the other forum readers. BTW I like my Airnimal Joey very much. It's a fast folder and I like to ride it fast. I don't want to use clipless pedals on this bike. Regards, Plooi |

MKS Ezy removable pedals are strong, fairly light, and gorgeously well finished aluminum. The superiors don't need retention clips.
I have a pair of MKS Ezy MTE on my Dahon Mu SL, and a pair of MKS Ezy superior Esprit on my Bike Friday Pocket Llama. The superior is indeed a step up, not needing retention clips is easier to deal with, and the connection is very secure. But both pedals are far superior to any of the plastic folding pieces of junk many folding bicycles come with. |
Abneycat,
may I ask how many miles/km you did with the Ezy superior? Did the pedals need maintenance? BTW you've got a nice bike, must be great fun to ride. |
