Half toe clips here:http://www.velo-orange.com/petoeclandac.html
I think the GR9 and the half toe clips might make a nice combo? |

LOVE the mango color! So snazzy and sexy!
Why not use full toeclips? I have them on my (non-folding) touring bike, they hold my feet well, and I can wear any shoe with them. Also, on the folding bike jealousy thing, I love when I can fold my bike and stash it in my closet or a luggage compartment or under my desk or a cab trunk BUT at times I have locking jealousy. There are times when it seems so simple, straightforward, and fast to throw a chain around your bike and the nearest pole, rather than go through all the motions of folding and bagging and then having to lug the darn (heavy) thing around. Personally I find my Tikit so easy to fold and roll that I never ever have lock envy. That's part of the reason I ride a Tikit vs. another brand/model of folding bikes. When I rode with friends in Calgary who owned Dahons they often left their bikes locked outside as the hassle of folding/carrying/unfolding was not worth it. If you really want to there is no reason you can't lock your folding bike up and leave it. |

There is an Aluminum -snap in to your Spud Pedals platform- made too, though the name doesn't come to mind..
you need to supply the spare cleat.

Im using Campags BMX pedal on the right side of my Brompton. the U shaped pedal cage grips my shoe well enough .
Velo Orange has a decent looking pedal it has 2 grip pins in the outer end of it , and a Sealed bearing, CNC body http://www.velo-orange.com/votopesebe23.html , add some power grip straps for bunny hopping potholes , perhaps? |

The stock MKS pedals on the One Way Tikit are pretty decent [and removable without tools] and I think with the VO half clips we'll have a winner at low cost. Those pedals you posted do look cool....I'll keep them in mind for my other bikes...:thumb: |
VO half clips are out of stock - so I'll try and find some plastic half clips for now and score the bling stainless half clips at a later date.

Well this is a Public list serve, .. If I were replying to your blog I would anticipate less traffic, also reading this .
so I just mentioned his hand made stuff. in addition to the stamping press produced stuff. Myself I have either toeclips and straps, Spuds or platform pedals , D shaped cages on my pedals are preferred as I'm using the outside end of my pedal a lot and having the 3rd end of the pedal with some grip is appreciated. A Brompton/Campag BMX combination at present. |
I'm having issues with folks who are not Yahoo members seeing photos sets on Flickr. Could someone who is not a Yahoo member try the link below and let me know if you get to my Tikit pics or you get some sort of admin msg from Yahoo? Thanks!

No it says I must be signed in.

Thanks everyone I think I got it sorted. Somehow my "safety" setting default went from "safe" to "moderate" and Flickr was just trying to save people from salacious bike porn! I appreciate the help.

It's Vik's One Way tikit that got me thinking single speed. Thank you, Vik.

Just a Downtube Nova I got for tinkering with. I don't much care for derailleurs so did the single-speed thing (a little tricky finding a "magic gear" but works okay). I really like the Bike Friday dropout solution.
