I'm confused. I think.

I said " I can look at a bike, see it's chain ring is under 50 and realize I'm going to be pedaling like an idiot and doing maybe 9mph. "

That's simply not true. I did a number of group rides with road bikes, and I had no issue keeping up with them using 406 wheel and 53-11 gearing.

And you said that's not true(?), but your chain ring is OVER 50 (in fact is a 53), so you confirmed what I said.

?

BTW, 406-53-11 is 90 and that's prettyy good. I've rereplaced my cassettes with 11-32's.

Thanks! It's helped with narrowing down my decision!

We can't answer a folding bike related question when we have no idea what the make, model, and possibly even release year of the bike is.

Folding bicycles are very useful, especially when traveling by means of public transport, for example the train, you fold them and ready to travel if you have a longer road, we will use the train and of course we will undo the bike and ready of road .

a folder is going to be my next purchase (once available). I love the idea of being able to take it with me anywhere.

I hope to get a montague paratrooper one day. I am about 6'1" so i would like to hear if taller people are happy with them. Thanks!

They're like regular bikes, so the frames come in different sizes to suit your needs.

I am looking for a folding bike for my work commute. The problem is, I am 6’2” and 240 lbs fully loaded so it puts me in the wierd end of the spectrum. I’ve been riding mountain bikes for a long time so I’d prefer that seated profile but I can’t expect everything in a folding bike, but I also don’t want to arch my back like a cat-camel stretch’ just to ride, I just want a lower centre of gravity. Also, here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, we just don’t have a lot of selection.

Any recommendations on make/model for a mid-range folding bike? Thanks!

A Zizzo Forte should work for you.

A Zizzo Forte OR a Dahon Hit. Both have a weight limit of 300lbs.
