Citizen Bikes, what's the story???

I've been looking at the citizen Gotham 2 folder and it looks like a good deal but I can't find any reviews. How does it stack up to othe bikes in market?

Not sure why you would say "Be polite and do a search" If you do have some info that might benefit me you could always PM me if you didn't feel comfortable posting in public view. Just my 2 cents.

Doing a search (advanced) for citizen in the title only brought up a whopping 47 threads.

Thanks jur...I didn't use the (advanced) search first, but when I did I got an amazing 79 results!!! Thanks for the help. Although Most of the results aren't as current as I was looking for it does sound like the Citizen Gotham 2 would be a great first folder for my wife and myself. I rode an older, 2006 maybe, Dahon Boardwalk today and loved it. If I can't find a good deal on a pre-owned bike I'll most likely go with New Citizen Gotham 2's. Thanks again for steering me in the right direction on the search button.

since you had good experience with your boardwalk you might want to stick with dahon bikes. check this out : https://www.thorusa.com/dahon/2009/curvesl.htm. might be a good bike for your wife.

Do( I did) a search on Google "Citizen Folding Bike Reviews and you'll get a Zillion hits, including many of the ones here on Bike Forum. The reviews are mixed.

The Gotham has earned a good reputation here. as good value for money. It does sound like a good candidate for you.

The Citizen bikes are good value in general and from my personal experience, Citizen has very responsive customer service.

Have you considered also the Downtube Nova? It is in the same category as Gotham 2 and Downtube has good reputation in this forum (I don't have any experience with them).

The Foldings god's have looked favorably on me. Just got a great deal yesterday on 2 Dahon Boardwalks with bags. I think they are 2006 models. One even had a nice after market cushy seat for my wife. We love em. They are a joy to ride. Thanks for all the input. I'm still looking to try one of those Citizen Bikes. I need to have a nice Guest bike around....and the addiction begins...

These look great! The Boardwalks are excellent value, especially 2nd hand which these don't look. With rear racks, mudguards and bags to boot! I think you'll have a good innings from these. Congrats on a great find.
