Thanks, everyone, for a very enjoyable day! So many lovely bikes, and a fun ride. I didn't know we were going off-road!
Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye to all of you. When we hit the Great Highway, well, that was my planned route home, so I headed southward. I stopped for coffee at Java Beach, then took in the view from the beach for a while. Rode around Lake Merced, stopping to admire the ducks and little birds flying through the reeds, then went over to Daly City BART and caught the train down to Millbrae. After a snack break I rode the rest of the way home to San Mateo. Most of the way I could ride the Bay Trail and admire the scenery and shorebirds.
It was great to meet everyone, and I hope to see you again!

Alan Bruce and Nigel with the San Francisco Bay in the backround.

Alan pointing out how nice his Mk3 is..

Hal in deep thought with his signed Moulton fixie.

TSR with Rohloff ready for touring ..

Nicely set up ABP..

Yikes!

A little snack before heading off for a jaunt..

Alan won't be able to sleep tonight..

Greetings everyone,
Well, I SAW most of you on my loop around the concourse looking for parking. I was running late and missed out on the good spots. I hope to meet all of you at another Moulton Meet-Up.
Cheers,
Earl Webster

"Shocking, mulleady! I'll hear no more of this dastardly plan!"
(Okay, here's the plan: I'll make a diversionary move on the Moulton Lava. As SC moves to defend his rightful property, you swoop in and grab the Mk 3. He'll never know what hit him.)

Ugh! Sorry to hear about that. It was rather busy on a nice day at the Park. Perhaps next time we'll meet at another, less popular location.

It is entirely possible. If one adds up the individual components at retail value, the total cost would be staggering.
Want to hear the funny part? The owner purchased the frame and built up the bike right after graduating college. Spent his entire wad on the bike. That's PASSION! Gotta love it.

If I got the story correctly, the owner had the Rohloff and wanted to build a bike around it. He ordered the frame with custom dropouts and used components of his choice (I think he mentioned something about 'french components').
Hopefully he will join this forum so we can get the story first hand. SesamyCruch was very active promoting this forum.

It will be too late before you notice. It will be winging its way across the pond to a destination and what happens to it will out do the mystery of the famous racehorse Shergar once stolen in Ireland.

Let's raise a toast to SesameCrunch! You can ogle over the high spec bike and it is mightily impressive but as a combination of nice parts and aesthetic looks his blue gold beauty takes the prize!
If you ever feel the urge to sell it SC I'm your man lol! Damn I forgot it's not separable lol!

Good day SesameCrunch,
The location was fine, I was running more than a little late that morning. I mostly wished to participate in the "meet and greet" session and left as I could see you were about to ride. The day wasn't a totally loss, I went car shopping (or should I say, "dreaming") with a buddy at the Land Rover and then the Lotus dealers. I know what I would be driving if I had a spare 80K, except the Evora's cargo bay is a tad restrictive. I think an AM could be made to fit if the rear cargo carrier was off.
Cheers,
Earl
