SF Bay Area Moulton Meet-Up - August 28th, 11am

Calling all owners, fans and future fans of Moulton bicycles! Let's meet and gawk at each others' bikes at Golden Gate Park. Meet fellow Moulton fans from the Bay Area and share our passion. Bring your bikes, a picnic lunch and all your Moulton stories - real or embellished . We'll also do a gentle ride around Golden Gate Park after lunch.

Check out vintage and new Moultons. There will be AM models, MK3, TSR, and even a new Bridgestone Moulton on display. Of course all other small-wheeled bikes are welcome too!

Let's meet at the Music Concourse on Music Concourse Way, in front of the Academy of Sciences and the De Young Museum at 11 am on Saturday, August 28th.

We are just a friendly group of bike lovers. This is not a commercial event. Come out and have some fun with us!

On behalf of the members of the Hyde Park Folding Bicycle Society I send you warmest felicitations from over the Pond, and wish the Free Moultoneers the sunniest of weather, and the warmest of pies.

If I see the Old Bean on my travels, I'll convey to him your kind regards. If I can catch up with him.

Thanks much for your kind sentiments. To reciprocate this expression of goodwill from our fellow folder lovers from across the pond, we are hereby pleased to offer an additional 50% discount on the free admission to any and all HPFBS members who may wish to pedal over to join us for the occasion.

^^^^

I wish, so much. But my reading list of 20 Stodgy Eng. Lits (and 1 x Stodgy Ginsberg) for next term is crippling me already. Oi vey!

I must needs remain vicarious.

Mail me a Sam-Pan Crisco pie.

Thank you SC, that will suffice, I suppose.

BTW, a few friends of mine have been talking about getting a ride going that consists of old 10 spds, Moultons, R20s etc, should be fun.

Are they a rare breed of Anglo cattle that chase riders of folding bikes?

No they are cloned chimera cattle mixed between Yellowstone Bison cows & Aberdeen Angus bulls. They chase Raleigh 20 geeks only!

But it will not be THIS day, my dear sweet Mulleady.
There may come a day when all folders come crashing to this forsaken dust,
A day of darkness and reckoning,
Where the sons of Dahon and Moulton lie strewn on the naked earth,
But it will not be THIS day.....
THIS day we R20ers shall stand and ride and slip and tumble and fall and cry like a girl.
So,.........

I envy your Portland tour. Would you do it again or just a once-off SC? I want to come to the US and do one of these scenic bike tours. I'm no century cyclist but with some training can get to a decent level to stay with really fit lads such as yourself, Jur and Steve***** to name but a few!

Whoops I meant Stevegor lol!
