I too have environmental and location sensors on my bike. It's called a brain.

I really dislike useless electronics on bikes. If it's a commuter bike, then after a couple rides you'll have your route pretty well optimized. And environmental sensors? what, do you need something to tell you it's raining?

Thanks for sharing. Not for smaller wheels looks heavy and not very aesthetic in my opinion. I do love how entrepreneurial MIT are though.

$600 is very cheap for something like this. Electric bikes or electric kits are usually much more. Not saying I would want one.

A big part of a bicycle's appeal is in its inherent simplicity. This thing though it may be clever is in the opposite direction.
