Downtube FS8 Revisited!

My very first bike was the above until I bought a Brompton and sold the FS8 on to a friend.

After selling my Cadenza 8 recently as money towards a new bike and leaving the Brommie in for a service, I borrowed the FS8 back for a few days. II rode it into London 20 miles along the Grand Union canal towpaths and it's and still a great bike for its pricing point. Running off upgraded Shimano Deore gears and MKS folding pedals, the FS8 and was the first time I contracted the famous Foldernitis virus.

Fond memories :) Current viral stage infection status: Advanced :D

Then I cycled home in the evening from London Paddington station. Here are some photos:

That's the EVIL SPAWN OF SATAN that nearly had me in the canal in 2008.

That bicycle is POSSESSED!

(Rear brake cable is a bit tatty. Pull yourself together, man.)

Well you ended up in the Serpentine lake at Hyde Park anyway and this innocent bike was nowhere to be seen! Perhaps the devil is piggybacking you lol!

Thanks. It's quite a hardy and dependable folder!

I waded in. When one is surrounded by ineffectual wrist-flapping male onlookers, one has to rescue one's own car keys from the lake.

Perhaps they were having periods, or something.

:)

Perhaps you are having one today. Never seen you so cutting!

PS It's the age of equality. You can wade with the best of them!
