Greetings from Greece.

This is my first post.

So I found out about this forum today. I love the fact that it has a folding bicycle forum.
I suppose I'll be using it alot.

Am I allowed to tell you a couple things about my folding bicycles related website? Or is that not allowed by forum rules?

Anyway.
I have been running a website about folding bicycles with reviews, news, forums and such.

I only launched the english version about 5 days ago.

I would love to hear some feedback perhaps.
I will be posting reviews for all Oyama, STRiDA and Dahon bicycles, hopefully Brompton too.
Take a look if you wish, drop a message at the forums or the shoutbox.

It's brand new and I'm looking to make some new friends :)

I like your site, it is interesting to see the Oyama reviews. Are Oyamas any better or different to Dahons, do you think ?

Neat looking site. I will read a bit more of it later. You have definitely hit on a good place for foldernuts. Several of us on here own multiple bikes. I am more of a vintage type guy and usually roll on a 1972 Raleigh Twenty.

it is true that Oyama folders aren't quite as popular.

My girlfriend :love: owns an Oyama Manhattan that I also had the chance to ride a couple times, but I tried its strenghts and weaknesses even more meticulously when I received a tester for the reviews.

I am happy that I managed to make a deal with three manufacturers ( Dahon, STRiDA, Oyama ) to test all their models.

Back to your question.

From what I've seen Oyama bicycles are USUALLY a cheaper alternative but not necessarily of lower quality.
In my opinion they have much much much more beautiful designs that most of the Dahons, especially the Manhattan.

The Manhattan and the Lexington which I have tested are very nice, relaxing rides.

Ahh! Raleigh, one of the manufacturers that has no official dealers in Greece. People have to order their Raleigh from other countries.
Same goes with Bike Friday and many more...

back in far easten country people always compare oyama's and dahon's bike. for building quality Dahon is far more superior than the oyama's but for value for money dahon don't come close to oyama's. One very good comparism is the oyama's cr-16 vs Dahon speed p8

I think that has to do with Dahon having more high-end options than Oyama.
When comparing low-end, budget options between Oyama and Dahon, like you said Oyama's value for money cannot be matched.
Their bikes have better specs for less money.
But like I said in an earlier post the quality isn't necessarily lower.
I do not know about high-end models because I haven't tried any yet. Soon...

Anyway.. what I originally wanted to say is that I would love to receive some of your reviews for your own folders guys so I can upload them to my website.

I am trying to build an online community/database for folding bicycles and your help would be more than greatly appreciated.
