The real problems experienced on the trip:
- Lack of security in northern Argentina between cities
Rosario and Clorinda;
- Lack of Hostels in Paraguay
A hotel will cost $ 20.00 ... as a hostel in the countries
South America costs $ 10.00 per day and camping
typically costs U.S. $ 4.00 or $ 5.00 dollars.
- Paraguay and Uruguay are the safest. Argentina's most expensive.
- Uruguay and Argentina are better for housing. Paraguay easier to camp,
but hard to find campsites and hostels.
- Paraguay is the cheapest.
- There are good bikes and bike shops in the capitals of countries,
but in the interior and coastal regions is necessary to carry great cameras
repairs and replacement for hard to find.

Great shots!
I don't know if you are familiar with it, but there is a small group of folding bike enthusiasts in Rio de Janeiro. They are all personal friends of mine, I can facilitate an introduction if you ever go to that side of Brazil.
This picture was taken in 2005, back in the days where I was still struggling to make the commitment to get a Brompton. Downtube NS.
Keep posting your pictures, always nice to see where the folders are taking us.

I am extremely grateful to indicate a group of Rio de Janeiro.
I had the pleasure of meeting the Rio de Janeiro on two occasions in 1999 and 2002.
From where I am in Sao Paulo have options to go to Rio de Janeiro =
>>>>> São Paulo Rio de Janeiro
Plane = U.S. $ 50.00 (round trip)
Bus = $ 100.00 (round trip)
Cycling =
***** For the Coast Rio - Santos 7 days of cycling (one way)
***** For the Interior Dutra 7 days of cycling (one way)
= Many car tolls and expenses ... U.S. $ 100.00 (round trip)
