Carrying Straps Brompton

Hello,

I recently got a Brompton to commute to the bus. I got the standard black bag that covers the Brompton (so they let me into the building at work). Though I still need to carry the brompton from the Bus 1 short block to work and through the building lobby. It would be great if I had a shoulder strap to attach to the bike that I could use to carry the bike. To unfold/fold the bike again doesn't seem worth it.

Any ideas?

Thank you fietsbob that looks like a nice rugged canvas bag to hold the bike. I saw my friend has this for his Dahon (too large for the brompton) though the idea is nice and was looking for something similar for the brompton http://us.dahon.com/accessories/2010/carryon-cover

The carry straps are connected to internal straps which have velcro that loop around the wheels and frame of the bike. The nylon cover doesn't hold the bike, it just covers it.

I think Pack cloth of nylon is lighter , the Dahon bag, may be good/or short term ,
depending on your priorities.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Brompton. There are actually many different combinations of folded up transport that you can use on your bike. My favorite is using a luggage cart (see below my own photos of my much larger folded up Raleigh Twenty completely bagged with it's old denim custom-sewn bag and strapped on it's luggage cart). Most of the time I don't bother with the cart-I just drop the lighter slipcover and carry all my folding bikes by holding directly on it's frame. I think this way is far more secure and prevents accidental bumping into others or anything else in the bike's way.

I bought 2 Dahons before I bought my Brompton. I was able to easily transfer the various Dahon made bags and slipcovers over to the Brompton. It might not be a very good "fit," but 99% of the time the Dahon made bag in question did cover my Brompton up. Later on, I simply sewed all the bags and accessories I ever need for all my past and present bikes. Using Velcro on straps is a no-brainer as it is the closure of choice of most professional and home sewers over snaps, zippers, even metal buttons any day, being very clever, much stronger, and far more quicker/easier to apply than most other closures. With care, even a domestic household sewing machine and limited sewing ability can get the job done.

I found these pictures on another bike forum but I don't know where can I get that carrying bag.
