Good to know. Thanks ddez.
Maybe not as good but it fits nicely in the frame. I plan to replace my tubes with presta's. Is their a way to convert the pump to presta or getting a presta pump that will fit in the frame? I am aware of the presta adapters like http://www.amazon.com/Innovations-In.../dp/B000CF2B0K but am looking for the real presta experience. |

I flipped the rubber ring and that small plastic tube of the stock Brompton pump and it seems to work with Presta valves, probably by design. The road is clear now to migrate to Presta tubes. I presume that Schwalbe SV4 is what I need.
1. Open the valve nut and remove the rubber seal and the plastic tube. 2. Flip the plastic tube and inset back in the pump 3. Flip the rubber seal and insert in the pump (it should seat nicely on the plastic tube). 4. Thread back the nut. This pictures shows the plastic tube and rubber seal after flipping them for the Presta mode. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=201926 |
