Stolen Swift

Folks, my black Swift was stolen in Seattle last Sunday morning--of course it will likely never be seen again but if it happens to pop up somewhere please let me know.

Black, steel, chainstays painted gray.

Eastlake. On the plus side it's not like there are lots of them around, so maybe there's some hope...

I am on the other side of the country so unfortunately I am not much help, but for what it is worth, I feel you pain. It sucks to get our bike stolen. Hope it is returned to you.

Ironic that the thread above this one is a debate on locking folders...

Good luck, hope you find it. Keep an eye on CL and ebait, including listings for frames and parts.

I know, I saw that just after I posted. What timing! In my case the bike had a u-lock around the frame connected to a cable locked to a wall mount. Snipped the cable and he rode off (caught on video) with the u-lock on the frame.

Bummer. Maybe report it to recentlystolen.com ? That was a good data base started a few yrs ago not sure if it is still up and running or how effective it is....

Bikes: 1990ish MTB converted to 'cross, custom Vulture 29"er, Swift 2-speed Automatix folder, Madsen cargo bike

Sucks. I'm all for corporal punishment for bike thieves. I'll keep my eyes peeled down here in case the bike finds itself in Portland.

If I meant capital I wouldn't have said corporal. I'm not in favor of capital punishment for any crime, even bike theft.

I am in favor of severe physical punishment of bike thieves, however.
