Just Picked Up A Dahon StowAway
Well, I've never had a folding bicycle and I know this one is definitely on the lower end of the scale when compared to the folders that are offered today, but what the heck, I bought it anyway.
It has the carry bag, fenders, rack and kickstand and is in really good shape. I got it for the tidy little sum of $60. I don't have a clue whether that is a good deal or not but it is what it is. I am going to shine it up a little then carry it in the trunk of my car for emergencies. |
Pictures please....I want to see what $60 buys!

Here's a link to the Craigslist ad until he pulls it.

You got a good deal. I have 2 Classic IIIs and paid more than $60 for each on ebay and I've recently seen a couple of Stowaways on craigslist in TX with higher prices.
I also keep one of my bikes in my car for backup transportation. |
Looks good! I've been looking at folding bikes as I find them interesting. I would likely pull the trigger if I found one for $60 and just keep it in my car.
Enjoy the bike! |
nice snag! I've got one in waaay worst condition available locally for $100, it's been available for over a year, which of course means it isn't worth it.

Nice! You definitely got a great deal! :thumb: I paid $125 for my single-speed 1982 Dahon Da Bike. This is a pic from a very hilly ride I did on this bike last May. As you can see, I stripped it down to nothing. The only thing I left on was the kickstand. I bought different pedals with toe clips, replaced the saddle with one that's more comfortable, and added tire liners, that's it.
