Raleigh R20 and my "MasterCard" moment.
This past Sunday my wife and daughter went to a baby shower for our step-grand daughter. After much back and forth e-mails, texts etc it was decided that I would spend the afternoon with our 8 ˝ year old grandson. He’s really something special….but then what grand parent doesn’t think that. Anyway I loaded the R20 into the car and drove with my wife up to the kid’s house where my wife and daughter would then go to the shower. For the next few hours I had my “MasterCard” moment. $20.00 for a new Bay Blades from Wal Mart, $18.00 for lunch at Mc Donald’s, and a couple of hours of pure joy riding bikes on the bike path with my grandson…..priceless. I’m not a big fan of MasterCard, Wal Mart or Mc Donald’s, but the time spent riding with my grandson was memorable. The R20 proved itself to be worth the investment and versatile in it’s use. As my grandson grows, he’ll be able to ride the R20 when he comes over to visit and I’ll use the old Raleigh DL-1. Thx for letting me share, PG.

Thanks for the story. Isn't it great to be able to do that!!
I still remember some "grandpa moments", but my 2 sons were "robbed" of those moments - both gone by the time they were born. No matter, I am doing more with them now (when I see them) than when I was working and raising them with my wife - and they are 23 & 24 while I am near 64.
Peaceful times and happy days

Bicycle Repair Man !!!
Such a nice story... my nearly 12 year old daughter just grew into an R20 I bought for her last year and just loves it.
She said I can borrow it when I want to.
