Brompton front carrier block

After studying how the various bags fit on the the front carrier block on the Brompton I was wondering if it's possible to obtain the bag portion of the carrier unit so I could rig up my own concept

thanks

Yes, you can buy the bag frame seperatly

Or even better yet, you can simply adapt an already sewn bag (very easy & quick with minimal sewing) or make & sew one up yourself entirely (a bit more advanced sewing knowledge required) for the Brompton block's unique metal frame-or simply attached directly to the handlbars. I have done both with extremely good results as you can see for yourself. Below are some samples-from left; the Beaded Bike sewn and heat-set beaded entirely by myself for the Brompton, Giraffe print for use on all of them, Blue Rear Panniers bags custom sewn by me for my Jetstar bike, and Cat-In-The-Bag to get a feel how big the rear bags are-that I have done for my own Brompton and my other 2 folding type bikes:

I have both the newer aluminum /nylon bag frame, and an older all steel Bag frame..

I note other fabricators have made their own bag attachments, from steel
.. for other purposes..

My idea is to adapt a backpack to secure using the carrier block & handlebars

The bars and carrier block are independent so if you attach something to both, steering is compromised at best.

Yea bag clip is attached to the frame, head tube.

Well this video solves the problem of strapping on a back pack (on the back)

So now some contraption in the front & I'm good to go - I like the idea of home made - less attractive to thieves

Brompton's Bag frame QR's off. their touring bag works like a Messenger bag
off the bike..
I also have a messenger bag with a waist belt and a shoulder strap,
The addition of a stiffener panel & It's waist belt laced thru the bag frame's tubes
holds it on fine..
