My new Brompton P6RU!!!

I'm in The Philippines and I would like to share with you my current "Dream Bike". With Brooks B17 Special, -12 Gearing and Eazy Wheels.

I asked a friend in Hong Kong last week to buy me A Brommie at the Flying Ball Bike Shop. I sent him the money Wednesday morning and I picked it up at their house in Manila Thursday evening..

Pics my friend sent me while the shop was checking it and packing..

The Brompton is indeed iconic! I was surprised that the 16 inch wheels/tires do not contribute to a twitchy ride. It is a joy to drive, a lot smoother than my 20 inch Giant expressway! No creaks and very stable. The P-Type bar points this little classic to any direction you want it to go though the uninitiated will give you suspecting stares. The 6 gears are adequate for city and uphill climbs. And the fold, yes the fold, it can't be beat!!!

Your seat is very far forward. Normally, I have the nose of the seat slightly behind the crank spindle. Do you like it this way? If you're not sure, try pushing it back.

Nice bike!

Very nice!

Saddle looks slightly pre-used. It's got a bit of sag in the middle, as well as the characteristic darkened region between nose and rear support rail both which happens only after some use.

That means you won't have the initial agony of breaking in! :thumb:

Yeah, I noticed it just now when you mentioned it. Will adjust it. Thanks.

No, it's not pre-used. May just be some photographic anomalies and some kinks you're seeing near the rear edge. In fact, it was very stiff compared to my other B17 installed in my Giant expressway (when it was new). :)

Saddle relationship as a a set back behind the crank axis is a consideration .

a balance of weigh ... hands vs bum
