Hey, there are ways to preserve a case of folderitis AND run recumbents at the same time, while being on two wheels. (And I saw SesameCrunch's Downtube conversion, although the fold looked a bit clunky IIRC due to bits of the conversion being in the way. Be interesting to see if Cruzbike or someone could do a factory folder (I don't consider the Quest to be a folder) on that basic design.) Folding trikes, of course, are actually fairly common, although even folded, they're pretty bulky IMO.
None of them are cheap (and I'm too cheap for it, I was looking into it for a small folding recumbent bike to toss into the car for riding when I'm traveling somewhere, because the non-folding TerraTrike is completely impractical for that, but I'll just go upright folder I think), but...

https://www.azub.eu/CZ/folding-recumb...-azub-origami/
Those are probably the two smallest folders. And the Azub even has a level of fold that keeps the seat on it seems (uncommon in recumbent folds of any kind - I think the only other seat-on fold I've seen is the HP Velotechnik Gekko fx trike, and their folding bike doesn't do that).

https://www.icetrikes.co/community/ic.../ice-b1-review (discontinued, though)
https://www.twbents.com.tw/HTM/cobra.htm (fixed bottom bracket FWD, unlike the moving bottom bracket FWD of a Cruzbike - chain stays with the frame and twists with the wheel, rather than moving with the wheel on a Cruzbike or similar)
I think everything but the TW Bents uses 406, the TW Bents uses 451.

He'll be back.
Owning a folder is kind of like being in the mafia. You can't really leave...
Maybe we should leave a 16" wheel on his pillow as a warning, though.

I haven't really left. I have a Brompton, Downtube Mini and a Moulton TSR in the stable.

Edit: And I found your old post announcing your sale of that downtube bent. You said:
I built it up a over a year ago, thinking that I was going to use that to ride a double century. But I never fully committed to recumbent riding. It would have taken 6 months to get my 'bent legs, and I have too much fun on my uprights to make that commitment. So, this folding 'bent was relegated to limited duties as a child carrier. Now, even that chore is done, as my son is now riding on his own.
Wondering if you'd wished you'd kept it now that you've seen the light regarding 'bents? (Sorry mulleady, but folding's loss is bents gain! Try one, you might like it)

Yes, but why, oh why, did you sell your bent downtube???
The video with your kiddo is a classic and I was waiting to see a follow up video with your child riding that same bike at an older age.

I do miss that bike. It was so much fun to make and the memories with my son are priceless.
