I wanted a bottle mount on my Brompton for longer trips without a bag. Problem is every cage and mounting location would interfere with the folded size. Well, I came up with this solution...Vincero Design magnetic bottle mount and bottle.



The mount has a magnet where the logo is.


The bottle is made for the mount and has a magnet pressed into the bottle.


This is the view from the side...it doesn't stick out at all.

I found this bag on Ebay and thought the dimensions(22"L x 23 1/2"H x 13"W) would almost be perfect for a folded Brompton...so I bought it to try. Well, here it is...



Side access panel open and there is room for some helmets and of stuff.


The Brompton fits snug and closes with a push on the seat when closing. Removing the seat would make it even better.

There isn't a brand or logo on the bag. I believe the bags were used for electronic equipment. Does the EBay seller not ship international?

Is it possible to fold the bag in some way when it is empty? The question steers towards the possibility of taking off, from an airport or another arrival point, with the folded up bag attached somehow to the bike.

Regarding the bottle with a magnet, I would be afraid of the bottle taking off, particularly when full, when riding over a rough terrain.

Last weekend I picked up my 1st Brommie. Was searching the house for a suitable bag. Found one that used to house a piece of my wife's massage therapy equipment (body cushion). It just fits. Carrying handles etc. not ideal as the body cushion weighs maybe a few pounds vs. the Brommie, but it'll do for now.

The foam on the sides of the bag are actually removable. Ill have to try when I get home.

As far as the bottle goes...its not gonna fall off. The magnets are so strong that they pull themselves together from 5" away. Funny thing is that brompton showed this as a new product of theirs at interbike last week. Ill have to find a picture in a few.

a generic bottle , with a magnet taped to it may stick to the steering mast without any brackets..

or maybe just toss a couple strong magnets in the bottle, and hold it next to the steel part.
the magnets should pop up, into place..

I wouldn't trust that. This bottle is actually shaped to fit the mount and keep it from rotating. You basically have to yank the bottle off, because its so strong.

Cool! Is this bag carry on size when closed for air travel? Or is it still checked luggage? I'm guessing you'd have to check it.

you are speaking exclusively for yourself ..

Myself.. lock and tube spare and tire levers
go in the bag + typically, needing shopping transport.

Nice bag, looks like it fits very well inside the bag. The only thing missing would be a set of wheels or rollers and it would truly be a great buy. Too bad for me that I've come to the conclusion I would not travel on a plane with my Brompton otherwise I would spring for one of these.

I throw my folders in the car and ride around the beach with my son. I don't need my bag for these times, but still need water. My tools and tubes go in a small saddle bag.

Here's the bag with the foam panels removed and put inside the bag. Then I basically stuffed the bag inside itself. Its a 1/4 of its original height now. I plan on adding rollers on one end.

What holds the mount to the Brompton handlebar? In your pic I see a bracket. Does Vincero offer that?

The Vincero mount also fits on the main tube. The bottle does not leak even when almost horizontall. I use the Elite VIP straps to attache it to the main tube on my S Brompton.

Looks nice, but the bottle mount kind of mounts where you need to mount your lights if you don't go with the typical Brompton offerings.

Man, when it slots in a bag like that it really shows how good the fold is. My Tern seems huge compared to that!

Neat, but $45+ for the kit and you still have to get a mount to mount the mount.

This bottle holder uses Velcros. Even a Brompton in the customer photos.


Some magnetic bottle holder sack. I have my doubts that it stays on with a full water bottle.

this has been around for a long time.

the strap uses a fastex-loop on the end so pulls tight.

I might get 2 so as to mount my Blackburn Big 2L bottle cage
on my Brompton seat tube.. (they are longer than regular 22 Oz)
[ except Its not that hot out here on the NW coast,
so a big drink before heading out is usually good enough..]

That's why you have to shop around. I got mine shipped for under $30. Bought the mount from performance bike which was $25, plus I had points to use, and the 20oz bottle was $11 shipped on Ebay. The mount on the bars I got from Walmart for $6.

I'm happy with it. No detaching mounts or cages in the way. Just grab your bottle and fold.

the twofish is 18.95 plus 10 dlr flat shipping and comes with a bottle. ( or 18.95 plus 17 dlr worldwide, although without bottle )
advantage : u can use any bottle.....
