Wow! For a school district program, they must be sure WELL FUNDED to use Bike Fridays for their bicycle of choice!

It shouldn't be hard for them to trace back to the thieves once they attempt to sell them.

No, we just worked hard on a grant and Bike Friday did a lot of great work to support our local bike education program and offered a great price for all the hard work they put into building this awesome fleet. The Request For Quotes (RFQ) was competitive even though it didn't take into account locally built bikes.

Wow. Same thing happened in Vancouver, WA about 2 months ago. Fleet of 29 bikes, mfg'd by GIANT, were stolen from a locked Rec. Center. They were also used to instruct young riders.

Disclaimer: My Green Bike Friday is NOT one of the stolen bikes!!!

Guess somebody is going to be painting a lot of bikes. What color covers Green really well?

Lou

Yes, I noticed that the total cost of each bike was well under $1,000 so that was a great price. Non the less, I really hope you recover the equipment, and the thieves are caught, and made an example of. And if nothing else, hopefully your school district can find more funding to replace the fleet.

They might have stolen the trailer and were surprised later when they found it full of bikes. And they might be scratching their head trying to figure out why the bikes look so weird. I would not be surprised if I hear in a few months that somebody found a pile of green Bike Fridays at the bottom of a highway embankment.

A company that I used to work for had a much lower value flat bed trailer disappear over a weekend.
