You are projecting in the trailer you really see only the rider , it is implied they are on a bike.

and guys don't understand "romantic comedies" NB to be released on Feb-14..

they are not supposed to make the guy look good , like Bruce Willis/Jackie Chan Movies

(agreed, this looks like a terrible movie. The posters are around London made me think "Nick Frost, Chris O'Dowd, Rashida Jones in a parody of a dance-of-the-moment movie? Wow". I sought out the trailer to find it was a sub-Richard Curtis, tax deduction atrocity. With a Brompton, so I can at least recover some of that effort by posting it here)

There isn't much out there whether in the movies, TV shows or commercials that make a guy look good. Even kids animated movies portray the guy looking like a first class boob. What goes around comes around I guess. After all, for many a decade we made the girls look stupid.

I thought there would be interest in a movie featuring a brompton (it's even the cause of their "meet cute", as far as I can tell), but i just get called a fantasist* and the only ensuing discussion is on romantic comedies, not the bike.

*and still waiting for an apology

Brompton / folding bike riders will always be depicted as anoraks by the media because riders who embrace such practical, gadgety bikes, and who don't seem so concerned with how 'cool' they look are clearly waaaay too leftfield of what's considered 'normal' - and so clearly easy game for unsympathetic mainstream media types.

The Tory spin doctor character in 'The Thick of it' rides one which is probably/actually a really good bit of bike-casting as he suits it hugely.

I have one so don't take this the wrong way. But mine actually IS cool
