Brompton Kojack vs Kojack?
What is the difference between the Brompton Kojack and the regular one?
http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/schwalbe-...&page=1&page=1 Looks like they have a sale on a lot of Schwalbe http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/schwalbe-...chwalbe_tyres/ |
The brompton version has a reflective circle on the sidewall whereas the standard folding version has only the large Kojak & Schwalbe logos in reflective material. I think the non-folding version has a sort of checkered graphic which is probably a bit 'loud'.

I have seen in a local shop some thin reflective slit tubes that is ment to be on (around) the spokes. Been thinking to look into that option but not ideal for wind resistance and also a folder that is being dragged in and out of bags houses and vehicles is better served with as few loose parts as possible. |
These are good guys, and slightly cheaper on wired kojaks and Marathon+ http://www.wrhpv.com/ukshop/tyres/349/index.html I've used them a few times. First time, ordered something that I then realised would not fit my bike. Emailed them and ended up "chatting" with the proprietor.
Wired kojaks are very plain - just the word Kojak, I think. I like to always have a folding tyre when I fly, because getting a 16" tyre in Melbourne or the Loire valley would be a challenge, and thus a discarded stanley blade could ruin a holiday. |
Thanks a lot for the link! Great source, also for tubes- I have been looking for a source for slim tubes for some time. At present I have no spare for my sons 20" kojacks. Have ordered from several sources but what I recive is only good for BA`s and BMX. Lets hope they ship abroad.
Yes, I agree on the folding spare tyre. When traveling with the B`s we are three persons and around here a 451 tyre is as rare as hens teeth.Same with quality 20" tyres. Tryed buying last summer when on holyday in Copenhagen. Found it impossible. I am sure the locals that know where to ask can find them but not me. Only childrens max 30psi. |
