Yeah, one perk of my job is riding to work on well maintained trails. At least 75% of the ride, the rest are neighborhoods, sidewalks, parking lots... still better than driving and the best parts of my day. I could let my mind wander, day dream at times, remember my old girl friends, even the bad ones, haha.
Don't know what you mean by turnouts but that's my backpack stuffed sideways. Normally I ride with it on my back but trying the Brompton basket.

That's a sweet looking carbon e-bike. Is that Kenda BMX tyres? Shops often seem reluctant to suggest bmx tyres for folding bikes but they seem a perfect choice to me. Comfortable, decent grip, pretty puncture proof especially with all the stunts bmx bikes do. Much better than horrible low profile 1.2-1.5 tyres that have to be pumped up to high pressures and give very little suspension effect. Looks a solid entry into your range of bikes. Better than that Dahon single speed e-bike monstrosity they recently announced (apologies to Dahon fans).

Hey @Schwinnsta It's an Ibex trailer made by BOB. Bob Ibex It pivots on bearings on either side of the rear axel of the bike, and in the other plane at the vertical tube behind the rear axel of the bike. It also has spring and shock (adjustable preload). It's fantastic and tracks neatly behind the bike. I love it. I replaced the rear tire with a better one (more slick than knobby) and I couldn't be happier. I also tow it behind a tandem for camping, and sometimes behind my Lemond for quick runs to the park.
It has four bottle cage mounts (I'm only using two) and I recently put a rack on it so that I can add panniers. And it has a pole & flag, though I rarely have it mounted. It works really, really well with my Swift folder!

Wow. Very nice. Thanks for the explanation of how it works. Rear rack is a nice touch. I once had a racing green R20 just like yours. Good bike but it is larger when folded.

Sorry...i have ask...
is that bike actually smaller or bigger when 'folded'? I mean, the point of folding is to reduce, not increase the girth, ain't it?

Question: just how old are those white tires on your Raleigh? Are they of a vintage similar to the bike's?

I remember this exact scene from when I was a little kid some 40 or so years ago - the pair spent the entire episode trying to get the damn thing to run, but it started running only after it got crushed. Hilarious!

Still enjoying our 2012 Giant Halfway and Giant Expressway. I'm surprised that Giant, at least in North America, does not promote folders and I think only have the Expressway model left. These bikes have logged many miles all over Canada and the U.S. Tires, chains and a dreaded GripShift have been the only major maintenance.
Shown here at Goose Island Texas.

Just built up my minivelo.. $139 shipped to my door..
I ditched the OEM foam grips & disc brake calipers right away, put on some old gel grips & Hayes mechanical calipers..
Longer reach & higher rise stem to fit better for my riding position.
I cut down the handlebar about 1.5 in. from each side, since I will be riding this bike in Manhattan, narrow handlebars saves lives when you are just inches away from cars.
Gearing is a bit tall for city bike, but smaller chainring would easily compensate.
Pink color stands out nicely in traffic, and not likely to be the first target for thieves.

Posted these on the FB Brompton Folding Bicycle Group, so apologies for those who have already seen these.
Decided to take a road trip from Toronto to Ottawa then on to Quebec City. Put the Bromptons in the trunk of my Toyota Camry Hybrid and off we went. Camry's have big trunks or boots for you Brits.

First day in Ottawa. This is the Rideau Canal with the National Arts Centre on the left and the Canadian Parliament Building in the background.

This was a ride from Quebec City to Montmorency Falls. Nice ride that takes about an hour. The falls are 84 meters compared to Niagara Falls with are 56 meters. There is a suspension Bridge over the falls which is a nice touch.

Old Quebec City early in the morning, before the city wakes up. Right behind me, is where they filmed the final scene of "Catch Me if You Can" because it looks like France for the movie without actually going to France to film.

Sometimes, you just can't carry your bike everywhere and bring it with you so I purchased two Abus Bordo 6500 locks for both bikes. These came in very handy. I would love to take the credit for the suggestions of these locks but I did get the idea from someone in this forum. They are easy to mount and carry and they offer the strongest bike protection rating system from Abus. I highly recommend these. Bike theft is a major problem in Canadian cities so the better the lock, the better piece of mind.
The trip was a huge success and I am glad that I brought the bikes. It is just nice and convenient to have your bike.
