Interminable Brompton waiting period

I put in the order for my Brompton almost a month ago. They say it will maybe ship from London this week, maybe get here next week, it depends on Customs, it's out of their hands.

It's such an odd time. Using my old bike but dreaming of my new bike. Seeing all the ways a folder would make my life better. Cursing the fact that it's not here yet.

We're so impatient. Years ago it took days to send a letter, weeks to traverse the country, months to go around the world. Today everything is instant. Texts, TV, Amazon 1-Click ordering. How painful it is to have to wait so long for something I want so much.

Sorry for the 2 am musings. I just needed to vent to people who might understand.

There are some luthiers who have a 2 year waiting list to build your custom guitar. I just kept that in mind while waiting only 6 weeks for my Bike Friday.

Its only natural to be excited and impatient. Its your shiny new Brompton! I'm a Dahon type guy, it suits my particular commute really well, but I get the anticipation you are feeling. I'd be the same way. Enjoy it when it arrives.

of the various sorting and routing stops.
