Hi and welcome.
I would just like to give some advise also.
Folders are very different from each other. Obsoltuley make sure you test ride before buying. However it may be worth buying a know product that can be resolded if unable to do this. Ie bromptons are not a risk as resale pricers are excellent.
There are some fantastic bikes out there, which might be in budget used. Ie birdie or dahon jetstream. Downtube fs is excellent I know nothing about oringimi bikes.

There are a few posters who have several folders for family outings. Great in a moderate sized car. I have four different folders for this purpose. Another forum user has 5 mezzo.
Go for it! choose carefully possibly tring one bike for a while before commiting to another. Make sure you have all the familes aproval, as children can be picky about bikes also. Its makes it easier if children like the bike to encourage family rides.

Some more points re children on folders.
We used a dahon curve (light bike with bigapples). We bought a. Telepcopic seatpost as over wise their was too much sticking out the bottom of the bike to go up curbs!
It fitted well and has the benefit of having a longer life as one size fits all. Therfoe the high cost is off set over the bikes life.
Sometimes children love a bike but don't actually like riding it functionally.
Ie if you take the "cool" onzo mini to a garden party it will be fought over all night by children. But they might not want to ride it all the time for outings.

Was wondering if Paul could allow me and wife to try a few bikes before we buy? I will contact Paul a few days before I can come down in a few weeks time, warning him, giggles.

And whomever thought there were anti-matter tires out already, can you say Warp Speed, or Ludacrist Speed? (know where that quote came from?)

Thank you all for the great replies, and Paul for how you handled yourself with responding to posters and other customers querries has now gained you a family of customers. Thank you, I don't feel bad or wary spending my cash here, to get riding again.

You are welcome to come by and try our bikes out. Just give me some advance notice so I can make sure that we have someone at he shop to meet you. We will be close the week of August 12th.

Oh, I like the Space balls reference. :-)
