MORE BANNARD:

Two videos, one riding along and one going up and down the driveway -- one shows the "TENSION-R" design, as seen below.

Also, BANNARD CYCLES themselves have a flickr account!

The route of the rear brake cable on the Bannard is pretty awful, if you ask me.

party pooper!

you are right, of course!

perhaps the next time you're in singapore, you can stop by the shop and give the bannard crew an impromptu clinic on proper cable routing.

but, mr. reingold, let's try to keep things in perspective shall we?

Wow. Wicked looking bikes. Sort of like my Rivendells, but smaller, and a whole lot more glamour!

Only in Singapore, eh?

Sweet. Would prefer a chain though, for easier gearing changes.

pacy 20:

it basically looks like bmx geometry that folds like a bike friday with the addition of a rear elastomer and crappy seat tube and stem folding hinges.
according to the website, you can spec the full gamut of "gang-nabe"- rolhoff, sram dual-drive, etc.

yet another nicely appointed premium range bike that you will never see or ride.Gang-Na

interesting qr solution for the rear triangle. also, check out that mini kickstand. the next step would be to add casters to that assembly.

I'm such a sucker for mixtes. I've bought four, completely restored two, flipped one, and one is in the queue. It's a good thing my LBS doesn't carry those Bannards, especially the top one. I'd like it more with a quill stem but in general I'm pretty knocked out by them. Looks spectacular in black and chrome.

The two I've restored are Peugeots, early to mid-70's, both white with the classic decals like the one in the middle above. Would love that little yellow one for something different to add to my Peugeot collection (currently four).

speaking of which, reminds me of this peugeot folding bike from the 70s. i've always thought this was a great looking bike. perhaps not as versatile as a raleigh twenty, but miles ahead of the ubiquitous U-shaped folding shopper bikes of the period.

It was nice, but it had 22" wheels! You couldn't get tires in a hurry.

I would say it's more like a BF Tikit Model T than a Birdy.
