The route of the rear brake cable on the Bannard is pretty awful, if you ask me.

perhaps the next time you're in singapore, you can stop by the shop and give the bannard crew an impromptu clinic on proper cable routing.

That headlight completely ruins the bike's lines.
Sweet. Would prefer a chain though,for easier gearing changes.

I'm such a sucker for mixtes. I've bought four, completely restored two, flipped one, and one is in the queue. It's a good thing my LBS doesn't carry those Bannards, especially the top one. I'd like it more with a quill stem but in general I'm pretty knocked out by them. Looks spectacular in black and chrome.

The two I've restored are Peugeots, early to mid-70's, both white with the classic decals like the one in the middle above. Would love that little yellow one for something different to add to my Peugeot collection (currently four).

speaking of which, reminds me of this peugeot folding bike from the 70s. i've always thought this was a great looking bike. perhaps not as versatile as a raleigh twenty, but miles ahead of the ubiquitous U-shaped folding shopper bikes of the period.

It was nice, but it had 22" wheels! You couldn't get tires in a hurry.
