Vindmills! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...ls_on_Bornholm

Riding from Svaneke towards Almindingen we came upon this windmill, they were replacing the "wings" (or maybe the old ones had been restored).

We stopped on the maain road, the small road is the farmroad going from the mainroad.

They used one Mobile crane to lift them into place and two men in a lift atatched them.

And some practical info:

In Denmark you have sites where you can camp in the wild, and some of them have a sort of simple shelter. We did follow the signs to take pix for you guys, but now I regret not going closer to take a proper look at the shelter (I think it is a shelter, I remember reading about it). https://en.wikivoyage.org/wiki/Primi...ing_in_Denmark

The sites can be found on good maps (we payd ú40 for one). I THINK the one we photographed is owned by the Danish Nature Agency grounds.

Shelterplace.

There are benches at this one.

This shelterplace (there are many) was close to Almindingen https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Almindingen
In Almindingen you also find this to make it easyer for handicapped to enjoy the forrest and birds:

Old houses and gardens.

We did not really see any big gardens (I know there are some). Denmark is a small country, and therefor each person or family can not ocupy a big area..
Lots of old houses on Bornholm, very few wooden houses. Stone, brick and clay combined with wood (bindingsverk) is what you see. Some few wooden houses was given as aid after WW2 (I think from Finland) and I remember reading that to be allowed to buy a wooden house like that you have to agree to maintain it, there is certain rules.

First an old house with straw roof close to the campingsite. They have a way of doing it "Imperfect but still spotless":

Old house, wiew from the main road

Old house, front yard

Look at the small dog with "NO" on it on the lawn. They do not want dog poo on the gras.

Trough the gate, different angle.

Looking trough the gate

And then

Some sort of arangement for lifting heavy loads.

Narrow road, small houses

Narrow streets

Christiania bike, almost enough space to park..

Old house Svaneke

Brick house

First house is in Aakirkeby, the rest I think is Svaneke and Gudhjem.

More later!
